Phil Churchill

Phil started his accountancy journey in 2013 as an apprentice for a large national firm and worked his way up to head of SME, responsible for over 500 clients based all over the UK and in multiple industries. The natural progression was always to start his own firm and when the opportunity presented itself, Phil and his wife, who were both at the same practice, took the leap and in 2025 formed Mango Accounting with Sam. In his previous life, prior to going into accounting, he worked in hospitality where he embraced the art of customer communication, something that lives through into Mango, where a large part of the company ethos is to get face to face with the clients at every opportunity.

Ferzin Churchill

Ferzin has more than 20 years experience in Finance, having started her journey with a degree in Maths and Psychology and moving after university, more or less, straight into accountancy. At her previous employer, she dedicated very nearly 2 decades running an office of 40 staff and eventually moved to an SME Manager role, where she made sure the team were compliant and had all the resources to deliver a constantly improving service. Funny story, Ferzin actually interviewed Phil for his apprenticeship and all these years later, are married, business partners and have a beautiful girl together.

Sam Howell

Sam launched his Management Consultancy business in 2010 and has been operating as a self proclaimed 'Jack of all Trades' ever since. His work has taken him through many industries including manufacturing, construction, software engineering, marketing and even the childcare sector amongst others. Having come from an engineering background, he tackles consulting in a more modern approach, the suit has gone, the jeans and t-shirt are a regular favourite and his approachable nature makes his coaching/mentoring arm of his business, the most popular service. 'I have always wanted to have an accountancy firm, there are some very talented accountants out there, but I wanted to help create a service that was more in keeping with modern business and would give customers something bespoke and personal, an extension of their own company if you will.' - Sam
